SES (Supplemental Education
Services) Applications were due
October 16, 2009 for the
following schools:
Elementary: Babcock,
Castori, Del Paso, Fairbanks, Garden Valley,
Hagginwood, Johnson,
Morey, Noralto, North Avenue
Secondary: Foothill Farms,
Rio Tierra, MLK, Rio Linda Jr., Foothill High,
Grant High, NOVA, Pacific
High, Vista Nueva
The per pupil allotment set by the CA Department of Education for TRUSD
is $1,280.00. To meet the requirement of No Child Left Behind, the
district has set aside 20% of its Title 1 funds in the amount of
$2,143,232.00. Participation in the SES program, based on enrollment,
will be in excess of that amount. The projected cost to serve the
1,782 students enrolled is $2,280,960.00. Twin Rivers Unified School
District is dedicated to monitoring the SES program so that students
receive high quality, research-based instruction specifically designed
to increase student academic achievement.
Students from low-income families who are
enrolled at the above listed
program improvement schools are eligible for
SES at no cost to the parent.
