Principal's Message

I would like to extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you as we look to our new school year. The staff and I are very excited to work with you and your children. We will strive to continue to provide a rewarding educational program for every child at Aero Haven. Together as a team, parents and school staff, we can help each child reach their highest potential.

Safety
If you are transporting your students to and from school, we ask that you park on the street at the intersection of McClellan Drive and Georgia Drive. Please do not drive into the school parking lot. It is reserved for the buses. Moving vehicles present a danger for students as they arrive and depart from school. Please help us keep our students safe.

Uniforms
Aero Haven is a uniform school. Uniforms were established to improve safety and student behavior. Students wear dark blue pants, shorts, skirts, jeans, or jumpers and white shirts. Uniforms may be purchased at stores throughout the area including discount chain stores.

Attendance
School attendance is very important to your children’s success. Please try to schedule all doctor and dentist appointments after school hours. Good Attendance = Student Success

Parent Involvement
I encourage you to become involved in our school. Please join the PTA and support school activities throughout the year. We are looking for parent volunteers to coach student sports, help in the classroom, or help with our fresh fruit and vegetable snack program. Please let the office know if you are able to help. Parent participation greatly increases student achievement.

Mission Statement

The mission of Aero Haven School is to provide quality education with standards based curriculum for all. We provide a safe, orderly, family friendly environment which values cultural and linguistic diversity. We have high expectations for all students, empowering them to perform at their highest potential and preparing them for a global future.

Curriculum Development

All curriculum development in the Twin Rivers Unified School District is based on the California State Content Standards and Frameworks. Curriculum guides are updated regularly by the Educational Services Department to align with the state standards, district goals, and the statewide assessment program.

School Leadership

Leadership at Aero Haven Elementary is a responsibility shared between district administration, the principal, instructional staff, students, and parents. The district’s emphasis is on a well-balanced and rigorous core curriculum at all grade levels. Instructional programs are aligned with state and district standards. Leadership duties were assumed by Principal Karen Snyder. Staff members and parents participate on various committees that make decisions regarding the priorities and direction of the school plan to ensure instructional programs are consistent with students’ needs and the school plan complies with district goals.

Parent & Community Involvement

Aero Haven's School Site Council consists of elected parents, staff, and community members. This committee provides input and advice for school programs. Additionally, we have an English Learner Advisory Committee of elected parents. Our PTA organizes school events throughout the year.

We encourage you to take an active role in our school. If you would like to participate in any of these groups or volunteer to work in a classroom, please contact your child's teacher or the school office. We greatly value and appreciate volunteers!
